The Hedgie's Story

After 20 years of making this salsa for myself and my family, I finally caved in to the demands to make it a business. Lucky for me the Franklin County CDC in Greenfield, Massachusetts was available to provide support, expertise, and a commercial kitchen in which to start.

Hedgie is our pet hedgehog. The kids are my kids who actually came up with the name of our salsa, and also do test for heat (since hot to me is a raw habañero, I am no longer qualified to judge heat). This way you can rest assured our product is truly what we say it is.

We employ local people to work for a local company who buys local produce whenever possible and banks locally as well.
